Handmade Beanies Connect Outdoor Activity, Conscientious Lifestyle, and Tsunami Recovery of Japan
LADE Clothing ltd. introduces new "FISHERMAN" beanies - quality outdoor beanies with a social purpose, adding another meaning for choosing your gear
Another meaning of the product: The series are all handmade in a small fishing village of Minami Sanriku, Japan, where the whole city was swept away by Tsunami attack on March 11th, 2011. LADE clothing has collaborated with a local volunteering group called "Otagaisama Project", in a mission for job creation initiatives in the area, and began working with a group of women who had a basic knitting skill and a will. As it's bringing people a chance to gather, chat, laugh, smile, and a job opportunity at the same time, the company believes that knitting can support recovery of the area in many ways.
Designed for durability and functionality:
Products are available through online store and local dealers, and the company is willing to expand collaboration with shops and organizations who share their values.
LADE Clothing Ltd., found in Whistler, Canada, now also has store & gallery in Nasu, Japan, is an independent clothing label, mainly producing handmade beanies for backcountry snowboarders and skiers for the past 10 years. LADE beanies are designed and tested in harsh winter conditions of Whistler and Niseko backcountry for genuine functionality and durability, as the company values to deliver meaningful and high-quality products with a positive impact, to create a more conscientious and sustainable lifestyle.
