Christmas arrives early with Accsys’ discounted tuition offer
‘Tis not quite the season yet, but management at Accsys is encouraging the market to be jolly with its offer of a 10% discount to all registered attendees for the next Payroll Administration course starting in September.
It is a formal qualification that is software independent and administered over the Web. This means it can be easily accessed and completed by learners who are currently employed, as well as those who are looking to enter the profession.
Those interested in registering must have a Grade 12 certificate or be currently employed in the field. Additional criteria includes competency in mathematics, communication and computer literacy equivalent to NQF Level 4.
As an early festive gift to the market, and by way of demonstration of its commitment to skills development in payroll, Accsys management has confirmed the offer of a discount to those embarking on the next course – which starts on 25 September 2012.
Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys, says payroll administration is considered a critical facet of any business operation today and requires more skilled practitioners. However, a skills shortage and the challenge to recruit adequately skilled personnel remain obstacles for businesses.
“Economists agree that the country’s skills shortage will impact heavily on its long-term growth potential. At the same time there is ongoing debate in the media about more companies relying on the use of specialist recruitment agencies to help source the right candidates. In terms of payroll, it is essential that administrators have the necessary expertise. They are dealing with large sums of money and are under incredible pressure to ensure that the payroll is administered on time, with complete accuracy. It is a deadline-driven environment that requires meticulous attention to detail,” says Schroenn.
The Accsys National Diploma in Payroll Administration qualification is designed to address the need for skilled practitioners within companies.
There is a strong practical component to the course and it is structured in such a way so as to ensure that those who complete it, will be of immediate value to a business.
“They will be in a position to handle all the responsibilities of payroll administration and will also have been exposed to the latest trends, systems and technology that form part of the modern payroll environment,”
Accsys is a member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX) and a national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time & attendance space.
