Atlanta Realtor Mark Spain Places No. 20 on The Wall Street Journal’s Top 250 Agent Teams List

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Ranking No. 20 nationally for most transaction sides with 512 closings, the Mark Spain Team moved up an impressive 12 spots on the annual list from the previous year.

Mark Spain’s team had $88 million in gross sales in 2011 and their transactions were up more than 50 percent over the team’s 340 homes closed in 2010. This sales production, which included averaging more than a home sale a day in 2011, occurred in a year in which Mark Spain and his team also had to deal with switching companies. In May, the team moved all its agents and listings to Keller Williams Realty North Atlanta. Spain and his team surpassed the $1 billion mark in gross career sales in 2006 and may have been the youngest agent ever to accomplish this milestone.

With 90 teams on the Top 250 Agent Teams for Transactions list, Keller Williams had more real estate teams included than any other franchise--twice as many as RE/MAX, and more than Coldwell Banker, Prudential and Century 21 combined.

The Top 1,000 Real Estate Professionals was published in June 2012 with four separate categories honoring the top 250 residential agents and agent teams for excellence in:

•   Individual Sales Professionals – Sales volume
•   Individual Sales Professionals – Transaction sides (in each real estate transaction, there are two sides that can be represented by a real estate agent: a buyer’s and a seller’s.)

•   Team Professionals – Sales volume
•   Team Professionals – Transaction sides
