Orlando Shakespeare Theater Announces Additional Performances Of "Cinderella"
The First Production in Orlando Shakes’ 2012-2013 Season Plays to Sold-Out Houses
"I couldn't be more thrilled with this production and the opportunity it’s given us to introduce our Theater to a whole new audience,” said Orlando Shakes Artistic Director Jim Helsinger. “At a time when many organizations are cutting back, we are energized to advance our organization while maintaining our commitment to high production values and new plays.”
Cinderella began preview performances on June 21, and officially opened on June 23, 2012. Performances are scheduled Tuesdays – Fridays at 10:30 a.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the Goldman Stage at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center.
Single tickets, TYA Flex Passes, and group discounts are available by calling (407) 447-1700, visiting http://www.orlandoshakes.org, or purchasing in person at the Box Office located inside the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. Orlando Shakespeare Theater is located at 812 East Rollins Street in Orlando’s Loch Haven Cultural Park.
Schools, summer camps, and day cares purchasing 10 tickets or more enjoy significant discounts; please inquire at the Box Office for rates. Curriculum guides and additional resources are available online for teachers.

Cinderella has completed her chores, but her ball gown is ruined and her evil Stepmother and two obnoxious Stepsisters have already left for the ball. Will this spirited and feisty teen save the day? The mice seem to think so! Told with help from the younger members of the audience, the whole family will be captivated by the lively and spirited staging of the classic fairy tale. Cinderella is considered a family show and is suitable for all audiences. Autograph session after each performance!
