Famous Futurist Identifies 8th Key Driver of the Future – ‘Enhanced Innovation’

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Ray Hammond – Europe’s most widely published futurist – has announced his identification of an ‘8th Key Driver of the Future,’ an eighth key trend that will shape society and business over the coming decades.  Hammond has announced that the new key driver of the future is ‘Augmented, Enhanced and Accelerating Human Innovation.’

‘Social networks, collaboration software and 3D printing techniques are speeding up global innovation,’ said Ray Hammond.  ‘For well over a decade seven major trends have been obvious to me and to other futurists, but now I think the changes in the way creative people collaborate and communicate are dramatically enhancing innovation.  This can been seen in the products and profits being made by companies such as Apple, Facebook and Google.  Their results and product cycles are completely bucking the global economic trend and the reason is that these companies – and others like them – are making the most of new modelling techniques such as additive manufacturing as well as social networks and collaborative design software.’
Ray Hammond will be publishing a supplementary chapter to his book THE WORLD IN 2030 – 2012 EDITION on September 23rd 2012 and will be appearing live to present the results of his research on October 3rd, 2012, at the Intel Capital Global Summit in Huntingdon Beach, California.
