Caldy Clinic a healthy boost for Wirral resort

NWTV was invited to the grand opening of Caldy Clinic on Thursday 21st June 2012. This facility boasts being the only medically accredited clinic for plastic surgeons, clinicians and beauty therapists on the Wirral.

The Mayor of Wirral; Councillor Gerry Ellis told over 70 guests at the opening as he cut the ribbon, that he was very proud to be associated with such an enterprise that brought so much expertise to the area. He also commended Wayne Roberts with the tenacity to see his vision and the venture through to completion.

The clinic was bought in October 2009 and was opened as a GP surgery in March 2010 by Wayne Roberts. Since then, it has attracted some high demand practitioners whom now run clinics in the building on Banks Road West Kirby adjacent to the Yachting marina.

We spoke to some of the residing practitioners and their clients at the opening launch gala evening:

Andrea who runs Revitalaser was very much involved in the clinic's opening and has a thriving business performing 'Pain free laser hair removal'
"No more waxing and shaving" she told us.
One of Revitalser's  younger lady clients was happy to share with us how Andrea's clinic had given her back her confidence because her treatments had cleared up her acne.
Revitalaser also offers treatment for Polycystic Ovaries (PSO) and is currently treating several clients achieving excellent results.

Wayne Roberts himself runs a laser teeth whitening clinic 'Caldy Smile'.
"Giving back people's smiles at a price they can afford" he told us, beaming at the success of his opening launch.

We met some very dedicated and skilled professionals on the tour of the clinic, people like Val Ross, who manages'Skin camouflage', helping people who have had trauma scars and the psychological support that goes with these treatments, she even deals with the courts for her clients, so she offers a full circle treatment.

Dave Cavanagh chairs a Psychotherapeutic counselling clinic and told the launch visitors about his integrative approach to working with clients who bring many different issues. This combination of counselling methods, including his use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and specialist Trauma Therapy can help people through life's difficult, sad and traumatic times.

Crystal clear consultants Frankie Wood and Sharon Palmer Johnston whom between them have over 50 years experience as midwife and counsellor for the NHS, hold Neuro Linguistic Programming sessions at the clinic, steering people and business away from negative and detrimental emotions and phobias to finding self worth and success through proven techniques and simple applications that their clients find fun and beneficial for all areas of life and work.

Professor Paul Edwards himself with over 30 years experience as a GP and who now specialises in Varicose Vein removal was really proud to be part of such a great establishment. He told me his service is a walk in walk out pain free removal of varicose veins in around 45 minutes. I was surprised to hear about the types of people that have varicose veins, and that is was people from many walks of life.

Margaret Clark was indeed an inspiring choice, as many visitors to the launch were talking about Margaret's  massage therapies, including a unique system using rare Philippine Lava shells which are warmed up with lavender and massaged deep into aching bones.

During our tour we also met Denise Roberts, who operates a unique system at the clinic, helping people lose inches quickly, with 'Strawberry Laser Lipo'.
Her clients visit for inch loss laser liposculpture with non invasive surgery, needles or anaesthetic:
"The fat cells are drained using the laser on the skin with no pain whatsoever," Denise explained, This prompted a few male guests to strip of their shirts and literally have a nap whilst Denise was performing the laser lipo treatment.One of these men lost an incredible 4 inches in one session!

Denise added that:
“The fat cells are broken down by the laser allowing the fat to drain through and be disposed of naturally by the lymphatic system.You must do 30 minutes Aerobic activity within 12 hours of the treatment to ensure the best treatment results.
Denise's clients are a mix of men and women. Men primarily for their "Moobs" or Man Boobs and their stomachs. Women look for treatments for their stomachs, legs and arms.

Melissa Fairhurst was scouted to be part of the team at the clinic with her high in demand skills using Amatsu therapy,
"Amatsu is based on ancient principles of natural movement and can be used to help many musculo-skeletal and lifestyle related conditions, as well as supporting the restoration of general health and well being." she told guests.

Mandy Otter, was so excited to be added to the list on the door of the clinic with her 'Purity Cleansing Colonic' practice. Mandy was very passionate to talk about the food we eat, and our fast pace lifestyle, that she has seen change so dramatically during her time as a Nurse :
“Our lifestyle takes a heavy toll on our bowels.” She explained

We could not get round to see all the clinicians at the launch, yet we instinctively got the feeling of the wealth of knowledge and the passion of the professionals that practice at Caldy Clinic and  whatever your Achilles heel is regarding your confidence, this clinic will surely have an answer for you. Then a relaxed walk around the ambient marine lake is prescribed.
