July 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Oakland, CA (July 7, 2012)- Bay Area Ambassadors (Ambassador) earned their final win of the regular as they beat the North Coast Tsunami (Tsunami) 3-0. With the win, the Ambassadors take first place in the West-Northern Conference.

Both teams came out motivated. The Ambassadors were playing for first place, while the Tsunami wanted to be the spoiler and end their inaugural season with a win. From the kickoff, the Tsunami pressed the Ambassadors high. The tactic worked well to keep the Ambassadors from playing their possession style soccer, but it could not keep them from scoring. Midway through the first half, Brayan Walle gave the Ambassadors their first goal of the game. Walle received the ball off a clearance from Stefan Clemens and beat two defenders and the goalie to score on the open net. The first half ended 1-0.

The game opened up in the second half with the Tsunami pressing for a goal. They had chances from crosses but failed to put any of the shots on frame. The Ambassadors would strike again early in the second half off a free kick. Clemens placed the free kick perfectly into the side netting from 25 yards out. After the goal, the Tsunami lost steam and allowed the Ambassadors to create many chances. The Ambassadors failed to convert any of the chances until A.J. Rana scored  by fighting off a defender and the goalie. The game ended 3-0.

Stefan Clemens and Brayan Walle were the players of the game for the Ambassadors. Not only did Clemens assist the first goal and score the second, he provided energy and leadership through the midfield. Walle seemed to be on a mission to make sure every Tsunami defender had a bad day. He scored the first goal and created more chances from his speed and skillful dribbling.

The Ambassadors finish the regular season in first place in the West-Northern Conference. They will face the second seed from the West-Southern Conference in a home game in the first round of the regional playoffs.
