Happenings Media Welcomes Brian Dengler as Legal Advisor
Brian Dengler, an attorney who specializes in information technology; privacy; new media and advertising, has joined Happenings Media, a network of hyperlocal digital lifestyle magazines, as an official legal advisor.

"With the media industry quickly evolving as publications adjust to a digital environment, we are thrilled to have someone of Brian's unique legal expertise join Happenings Media in an advisory role," explains co-founder Angela Giovine.
Prior to joining Happenings Media, Dengler held a position as vice president and associate general counsel of America Online, Inc. (AOL LLC), where he served as chief counsel of AOL's CompuServe and Netscape Division. He also advised private and public colleges and universities on copyright, privacy and technology issues and developed e-media management curriculum and course materials for Kent State University. In 1999, Dengler was appointment by the Virginia General Assembly to serve on its Advisory Panel No. 5 of the Joint Commission on Technology and Science. He later studied and recommended passage of uniform electronic commerce laws for the Commonwealth.
