Travel Insurance Brokerage Firm's New Web Sites Showcase Old-Fashioned Customer Service

Despite its small size, the brokerage has helped countless thousands of clients over the past four decades—and always with a personal touch.

The company's commitment to customer service has manifested itself most recently in four newly redesigned web sites. "These aren't simple redesign projects. These sites are a complete overhaul not only in how they look and feel and are navigated, but how we are approaching insurance for our clients," says Vice President, Adam Bates. "In the past, our sites, like much of our competition's sites, have been about the products. This time around, we decided to identify our markets and create a web site for each of them. So the sites are market-focused, not so much product-focused."

Less than a year ago, the company created a new logo and branding elements. Utilizing these new elements as well as creating a unique client experience was something the web design-development team of Blaker Design understood well: "We developed a strategy that would emphasize the value of the company and the strong relationships they have developed instead of focusing on only the product information. Further, we worked together on extending their new branding into their web experience," explains Niki Blaker, managing partner at Blaker Design.

Not losing focus on the old-fashioned customer service that has earned Insurance Services of America the trust of its clients, not to mention a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business designation, the three sites encourage visitors at every step to phone a Client Advisor if in doubt about what insurance to purchase.

"We wanted first to limit the options for our clients. So many sites offer dozens of plans, if not more, and that just gets confusing," states Marketing and Advertising Director, Trina Ypsilanti. "But we also realize that the personal touch—that someone always answers the phone—is what people like about us. We never wanted to lose that so we made it clear throughout the site that we're here to answer the phone. We know no matter how easy we make the process, people are going to have questions. And we're happy to help."

Adding to the customer experience, each site includes a blog which the Insurance Services of America Client Advisors update regularly with travel warnings and tips as well as information about changes in health care reform, and other insurance matters.
