A Festival That The Weather Cant Ruin - The Stratford Upon Avon Ghost Festival

Ghost Festival in Stratford upon Avon, home of William Shakespeare

July 5, 2012 - PRLog -- The weather this summer has been appalling. It has ruined many barbeque's, events and parties but perhaps the most high profile casualty was Coventry's Godiva Festival. The people of Coventry and Warwickshire now deserve some fun and excitement. The Stratford upon Avon Ghost Festival will deliver just that and most importantly its not weather dependent. Even the Dashing Jack Pub Ghost Tour goes ahead in the rain. Bad weather nor good, the Stratford upon Avon Ghost Festival will be taking place on Saturday 21st July 2012.

The Ghost Festival is being organised by the nationally famous paranormal investigation group Dusk Till Dawn Events alongside the renowned Spiritus organisation from Evesham. The festival offers something for everyone from novice to experienced ghost hunters and believers and none believers. The Festival kicks off in Stratford Town Hall, with a Psychic Fayre. Entrance to the Fayre is just £2.00 and the ticket will allow re-entry throughout the day. The Fayre starts at 10:00 am and ends around 4:30pm Festival goers will be able to peruse many fascinating esoteric stalls, meet an array of different readers who will be able to give accurate and detailed readings including Tarot readings and Angel readings and throughout the day there will be a series of workshops and demonstrations that are absolutely free.

The Festival continues into the evening, where there is a unique choice of events. Those in the mood for a lighted hearted celebration of the paranormal can enjoy a Pub Ghost Tour of Stratford upon Avon with Dashing Jack, Stratford's most notorious tour guide. This bawdy tour is for adults only and takes visitors through Stratford's most haunted streets, pubs and of course graveyards. This unique experience is £10.00 and starts at 7:00pm.

For those who fancy something a little more serious there is The Dark Parlour Seance Show. Beginning at 7:00pm in Stratford Town Hall, mentalist and mind reader Paul Voodini, will bring you an evening of genuinely thrilling and interactive entertainment. The evening will involve experiments in extra sensory perception, telepathy, mesmerism, past life regression and will end with a good old fashioned seance, where audience members will be invited to hold hands ask the immortal words 'is there anybody there?' Admission to this unique event is £15.50 and will also include free entry to the daytime Psychic Fayre.

The Festival is brought to a close with a Ghost Hunt at what is described by 'Horrible Histories' author Terry Deary as the most haunted building in England. This overnight ghost hunt takes place at the Falstaff Experience on Sheep Street. The Falstaff Experience shot to national fame when it featured on cult television show 'Most Haunted' in 2004, when psychic Derek Acorah was possessed live on television. With its cobbled court yards, hidden priest holes and secret chambers, this location is steeped in history and not one for the faint hearted. This night of terror begins at 10:30pm and runs until approximately 4:30 am. Book early as places are limited. Cost £49.00.
