The Storms of Sandy Beach
July 4, 2012 - PRLog -- In the 1960s, the quaint coastal Carolina town known as Sandy Beach is about to be impacted by a tempest of intrigue. When a fierce tropical storm slams into the unsuspecting town, the sleepy community prepares for the worst. However, what they don’t suspect is that the storm will become a perfect cover for the murder of one of their beloved residents.
As the islanders begin their recovery efforts, Geneva Wright is found floating adrift in a small boat. Clinging to life and suffering from a variety of suspicious injuries, she is rushed to the local hospital where begins a fight for her life. While Geneva lies comatose, investigators attempt to piece together the facts of the case. In the long run, though, they may not like where the truth leads them. This quiet little hamlet must now face down lies and deception—or become ruled by them.
Their determination to push through and expose the seedy underbelly of this apparently pleasant community may be their only saving grace. What was once a village to admire, has now unraveled in a most dangerous way and could ultimately destroy several families.
In this Sandy Beach ‘cauldron of life’ youthful lust and desire are heated to an unmerciful end. Now, only persistence and a desire for the truth will see these citizens through. Will the scars heal? Will the gift of faith prevail in this tiny community? Will its residents come to know the true meaning of absolution?
“With depth-of-character rivaled by only a select few in the current market, Remly Paul Clark presents the reader with a unique perspective of the human condition.” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “The author captures the essence of human interaction and the consequences of our decisions—both past and present—which impact our lives and those around us.”
