In today’s world, where technology is pacing things up and expecting individuals to become more productive align with the emerging dynamics of the globe, there is immense pressure on students and the young generation getting into the world of jobs and it is very important these students are equipped with ways and means to cope up with all of this pressure. This is a program which is very relevant and will aid help students balance well between official chores and personal commitments and with an ability to stay upbeat and be lot more productive. The program which got launched in January 2012 has been received very well as per DCE and Laurus Edutech.

“The program primarily targets second year under-graduate students since they are on the threshold of entering the professional world and it becomes a dire need/ an imperative step to prepare students according to the industry standards. Knowledge imparted via books during their college days is just not enough to teach students about how to perform well and add value to the organization they will be joining,” said Karthick Murali, Head of Programs at Laurus Edutech.
Training in stress-management is a noteworthy aspect of Vikasana program. Stress at work place reduces productivity, increases management pressures, and makes people ill in many ways, evidence of which is causing wide spread concern. Keeping in mind these scientifically-proven facts, students are being taught to manage stress and work efficiently to maximize productivity.

“Well-being at work-place is a very significant concept both for an individual and the organization. An ability to deal with stressful situations arms the student to tap any opportunity with confidence in the dynamically changing market scenario. It is extremely important that along with strong knowledge and skills, the person copes well with mental strain which builds up at the workplace. We hope to equip students with these quintessential stress management skills under the Vikasana program.” said Mr. Srinivas Rao Cheedella, Managing Director at Laurus Edutech.
With an aim to train a total of 3000 students from 29 colleges, Laurus has already trained 2358 in 26 colleges.  The students do not have to spend anything for the program as it is funded by DCE and Government of Karnataka with an assured guarantee of placement.
