Orange County Company Continues Veterans Hiring Efforts this Fourth of July

Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda Reports Seven Veterans Hired so Far this Year while Efforts Continue with State and Federal Officials

July 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Legal support services company Morgan Drexen (http://www.morgandrexen.com) continues its veterans hiring efforts this Fourth of July, announcing it has hired 7 veterans so far this year.

“Veterans are such dedicated workers,” said CEO Walter Ledda.

“As ‘Work Ethic’ is one of our values as a company, we find veterans align with our principles of integrity and customer service to our attorneys,” Ledda said.

In addition to signing up with the California state employment office for veterans jobs, Morgan Drexen has also signed up to participate in the “Honor A Hero, Hire A Vet” job fair at the Santa Ana Elks Club on August 2nd, and has scheduled a call with the Deputy Under Secretary for Economic Opportunity at the Veterans Benefits Administration to discuss further hiring efforts.

“It makes me proud to know the company I work for appreciates the hard work and talent America’s men and women in uniform can provide to corporate America,” said Carl Dawson, a Navy Achievement Medal (NAM) recipient, who came on board as the Vice President of Marketing in February.

“It can be tough to translate what we do to the corporate world. However, though different, the core values that Morgan Drexen and many corporate companies entrust in their personnel are in-line with the values of military men and women,” Dawson said.

Deputy Under Secretary Curtis Coy of the VA asked for help to promote a new benefit called the Veterans Retraining and Assistance Program (VRAP), an effort to train veterans in high demand career fields. Morgan Drexen Vice President of Media & Public Relations Karen Carlson, whose father worked intelligence as a Marine during the Korean War, will speak with Mr. Coy next week to work on additional collaborative efforts to get veterans back to work.

Orange County based Morgan Drexen provides paralegal and paraprofessional support services to attorneys across the country.
