Two Young Entrepreneurs Invent Glass Cleaner and Attract Hollywood
When brother and sister entrepreneurs set out to launch Powglass, the very first high definition glass cleaner, they believed that convincing store buyers to carry their product would be fairly easy.
Powglass is the very first glass cleaner that cleans in High Definition, going far beyond the streak free shine even in the sun. It is the first glass cleaner that can safely and conveniently clean all electronics, saving consumers, money, time and hassle of buying expensive specialty cleaners. “What we realized is that it goes far beyond that,” Irina adds. “Stores don’t’ just want a different product, even if it tops other leading brands they currently sell, what the stores want is a successful sales track record. This proves to be especially challenging when you are starting at the bottom with just one brand,” says Irina. “How do you convince someone to buy a glass cleaner online, when consumers, purchasing the product are so used to the convenience of buying products in grocery stores?” adds Sergei Korneev, co-owner of Powglass.
Something needed to be done to get Powglass known and for consumers to start enjoying all the benefits of the product. The very first thing Irina and Sergei did was submitted the product to a professional market research study to determine if Powglass was even worth them pursuing further. To their surprise, the market test for Powglass broke the record sales, selling almost 20% of inventory to all the participants. “We were shocked! In fact, people were calling to order more bottles regretting they didn’t buy more during the survey test. We got our green light, we were ready to go,” says Irina. Right away they began to build the website and the orders begin to pour in.
Shortly after orders began coming in and Powglass was becoming better known on the Internet, another bundle of excitement came to Irina and Sergei. Powglass got an email from one prominent Hollywood Production Film Company asking to try the product. Just two weeks later, Hollywood was buying Powglass in bulk! This boldly boosted the confidence of the young entrepreneurs to sell the product and get the attention of many more people around the world.
Currently, Powglass has only been on the market for a few months and not only has it reached the attention of Hollywood, but has gotten the attention of other major companies such as Conair and Digital Innovations and many more. This product will only continue to grow and catch the attention of consumers around the World! When asked where they would like to see themselves in five years Irina and Sergei happily replied, “To go global."
