-- Executive Producer Philip M. Cohen announced today that “Carlos Spills the Beans” a Christo Dimassis-Roger Mayer-Brett Roberts production of a Brian McGuire film has been selected as the Centerpiece Gala of the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles (DFFLA) and will have a party thrown in honor of the filmmakers.
A special screening will be shown Sunday, July 8th, 2012 at 8:00 pm and will be held at Downtown Independent located at 251 S. Main St, Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are currently on sale for the event.
“Carlos Spills the Beans,” a Saddle Ranch Pictures presentation of a Brooklyn Reptyle Films production in association with Lad Stallion Productions, is about a young man who grows up in a rich and dysfunctional family that owns a restaurant. The youngest of nine brothers, Steve Boyle, played by Co-Writer Joey Capone, has dreams of taking over the family business, but his overbearing family, his love for a waitress, and his jealousy of Victor, the most perfect person in the world, played by Bret Roberts, stand in his way. Through many conversations with his best friend and co-worker, Carlos, played by Winston Zarco, he may just find a way to make it all happen… that’s if he doesn’t kill anybody first.
“Carlos Spills the Beans” also features uber hipster C.C. Sheffield as Joyce, iconic actor Harry Dean Stanton, and Mark Boone Junior from "Sons of Anarchy" and BATMAN BEGINS.
