July 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Cloned SMS printers are due to be deactivated or blocked based on their IMEI number soon with most of the mobile operators worldwide. iBacsTel Electronics LTD from the UK has recently launched the legal pursuit against the factories in China who are cloning this device illegally and distributing in many parts of the worlds. Customers without the proper knowledge are purchasing these clone units as they are much cheaper than the original hardware and the solution. Network providers are able to detect the cloned unit with their IMEI number and will block the units accordingly and the printers will not work on the network any longer.
SMS printers are becoming very popular worldwide. They are mainly used widely in online shopping where the customers can order their products or services online or from their mobile devices and the order is received at the vendor location using the SMS printers. These printers are also able to send status message as a delivery report to the customers. It works for a wide range of business and is one of the most cost effective solutions to received orders and instructions remotely from a customer or user.
Due to the popularity of the product, with in the first year of the initial production of the SMS printer, it appeared that few companies from China started to make clone of unit. Soon the number became bigger and now there are a handful number of companies cloning the printer and selling illegally. It is the duty of the customer to verify the seller if the seller is the genuine seller of the product.
