July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The dramatic thriller film "To Survive" is set to begin filming in Quad Cities, Iowa this August 5th. This feature length post-apocalyptic film centers on a group of survivors who must band together to survive in a world after the collapse of society. Production is expected to last 15 days. Writer and director, Stephen Folker, says that "To Survive" is a story about not giving up.

"To Survive" has attracted talent from Los Angeles and Chicago including the leads, Burt Culver from Los Angeles, Ramon Bailey, Berkeley Clayborne, Glenn Harston from Chicago, and  Paul Berge, and Jessica Murillo from Iowa.  The rest of the cast and crew are coming from the Quad Cities and Chicago.

Stephen builds on his success having just won the "Best Iowa Made Film" award at the Snake Alley Festival of Films for his short film "Castle Siege". His Kickstarter.com campaign for this film raised over 141% of the campaign goal.

Besides making a great watchable film, Stephen Folker wants to show that even though Iowa doesn’t have film incentives quality independent films can be made by combining a great story, amazing actors, phenomenal locations, and the collaboration of a passionate crew.
