-- Super Producer Duane “Da Rock” Ramos
(LL Cool J, KRS-One, Jay-Z, Pussycat Dolls, Mary J. Blige, Cassidy, Jim Jones, Faith Evans and more
) has teamed up with Hip Hop’s super woman, Nicki Minaj
and has released “G-String,”
written by Kym Branch and performed by beautiful newcomer, Syreeta Shine.
Da Rock’s presenting “G-String”
as an early taste of his upcoming Mix Tape, Da Frequency.
“The track started as a hook that came from Nicki and I built the beat around that,” says Da Rock. “As a producer I wanted to blow up an unknown artist and I wanted to blow up one of my own. Syreeta Shine has a hip hop, R&B style with a Pop crossover and an incredible stage presence. She’s great to work with, fast and effective and she’s always on time. She delivers.”
“I’m a person that comes from a good place,” says Shine. “I want people to understand my story and know that they can go through whatever it is in life and make it. I’m all about expressing myself and having fun.”
Da Rock says Shine brings classy reservation up against Minaj’s bold and sexy hook. The track represents the classic good girl vs. bad girl duality and in the background is Da Rock’s thumping bass beat – hands down soon to be the new favorite in clubs across the country. The track is currently available as a free download at http://www.reverbnation.com/syreetashine
and will be featured on Da Rock’s Da Frequency
Mixtape hosted by DJ Hood and DJ Big Mike.
Frequency drops worldwide Friday, June 29th
