Family Owned Photography Studio Grows With Its Clients

July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Ryan and Vickie Fellows from Blue Sky Images are no strangers to keeping a hectic schedule and working at odd hours. The married couple own and operate Blue Sky Images, New Mexico's premier professional photography studio serving the Albuquerque area for nearly 24 years. In addition to the photo business, the couple also have three young daughters ranging in age from 10 -16 years old. "The business has always been a labor of love" says Vickie, "we love what we do". The studio specializes in "photographing people", Ryan says. "Whether it is a sleeping newborn baby, a bridal portrait or an action photo of a high school senior dunking a basketball for his senior page in the yearbook". Blue Sky Images is a constantly evolving business, as most small business need to be. But because it is a business that is family oriented, Ryan and Vickie have always had their children around the studio especially in the early years before they were old enough to go to school. "It is kind funny to think back, we used to let the girls fall asleep in the car on the way back to work at night and carry them in to sleep on the couch so we could keep working on the behind-the-scenes work of a photo studio". Now that the girls are in school and involved in extracurricular activities, it hasn't slowed down. You still may find one of the Fellows girls on the other end of your phone call or assisting their parents on a photo shoot.

Blue Sky Images started primarily as a wedding photography studio and as the clients married, became pregnant and began raising families, they continued to call on Blue Sky Images for their photo business. "Now, twenty some years later, we have photographed multiple sibling weddings within the same families, many generations of children, school photos, senior portraits and now weddings again, the cycle continues" Says Vickie. The busy studio has two different websites for potential clients to view and peruse photos and information.
