Andrea Kimberlin, Miss Kentucky United States 2012, Endorses Shine on Kentucky ADHD Protocol
Andrea Kimberlin, Miss Kentucky United States 2012, has now given her support and endorsement to the certified Hallowell protocol, Shine on Kentucky, brought to Kentucky by Dr. Justin L. Potts, D.C.
"I am excited to have such an endorsement for Shine on Kentucky. Having Andrea, the new Miss Kentucky United States, support and endorse such a care model here in Kentucky is unbelievable"
"People in your community and state, right now, are searching for a natural, effective approach to addressing ADD/ADHD", says Dr. Justin L. Potts, a National and State Board Certified Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Potts uses the exclusive and certified Dr. Hallowell protocol, a "strength-based"
Shine on Kentucky will provide a rich, subtle and clinically vivid wealth of information that can be used to gain a deep understanding of this common and fascinating gift of ADD/ADHD.
Dr. Justin Potts regards ADHD as a characteristic, which, when well managed, contains many gifts and talents. Poorly managed, however, this characteristic can lead to disasters in life.
Dr. Potts also stresses that one of the great appeals to the clinician in helping people who have ADHD is how much good the clinician can do and how dramatically he or she can help the patient change his or her life. This is because left undiagnosed and unaddressed ADHD can all but destroy a person.
The prisons are full of people with undiagnosed ADHD, as are the halls of the unemployed, the addicted, the impoverished, and the depressed. It is particularly alarming that at least 80% of adults who have ADHD do not know that they have this potentially devastating condition. Hence there is a magnificent opportunity for the clinician to intervene dramatically in the lives of people who have ADHD, the young and the adults, without always needing to consume a devastating prescription drug if not warranted.
Dr. Justin L. Potts' strength-based approach begins with the identification of talents and strengths as well as the recognition of the problems and obstacles in the patient's life. The clinician then helps the patient develop strategies at home, work, or school that focus on concrete, positive change. This is what we refer to as the humanistic side of the Shine on Kentucky protocol.
Dr. Potts, as a Board Certified Doctor of Chiropractic, then focuses on what we call the vitalistic side. We chiropractors are of course humanistic as well, so we can apply the certified Hallowell protocols and blend them with our own chiropractic wellness and lifestyle care.
Dr. Justin Potts will be releasing the Shine on Kentucky website that will feature full description, detail, contact, as well as certain parts of his care and training over the next several months. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the new endorsement by Andrea Kimberlin, Miss Kentucky United States 2012, and the upcoming release of the ShineonKentucky.com website.
