ima Strengthens Communication Skills with Toastmasters

July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Remaining committed to Client service and high communication, ima continues to develop personal speaking skills by founding an in-office chapter of Toastmasters International. Each member of ima staff is currently participating in the Toastmasters program consisting of ten different presentations, beginning with an ice breaker speech and gradually building up to the delivery of a speech intended to inspire. In presenting a wide array of speech topics and delivery styles, ima’s staff is honing their presentation and speaking skills as well as growing as leaders. Leadership growth is a predominate emphasis of the Toastmasters program, providing opportunities for each member to take on different roles throughout the course, helping to develop a different communication and leadership quality.

Angela Woodward is the ima Toastmasters Chapter President and the driving force behind initiating Toastmasters as a training tool at ima. Woodward states, “The Toastmasters program develops and hones our presentation skills giving us feedback and confidence to speak in public. It has something for both emerging and seasoned professionals, plus we always have a good time while we are learning and growing. Toastmasters also provides a venue to hear about the knowledge and diverse range of ima staff interests. We are impressed by the visible growth and improvement of ima’s staff.”
