Forgottenbooks.org releases over one million books free to the public.

July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Over 150,000 books are available to date, with 5,000 books being added to the catalogue
daily. Forgotten Books founder David Forsythe says, “Access to information is fundamental
to the historical and future development of civilization. We want to ensure that the ideas of
the past are not just available, but easily accessible to all people. Forgotten Books’ purpose
is to provide as much information as possible, to as many people as possible, in as high-
quality as possible, for the lowest price possible.”

Forgotten Books’ catalogue contains books published over several centuries and on every
conceivable topic, from classics of fiction (both well known and undiscovered) to scientific,
religious and philosophical treatises. Many of these books are of historical and educational
value; for example the earliest existing English language book: a cookbook entitled “The
Forme of Curry”, or Charles Darwin’s original “The Origin of Species”. Forgotten Books is
also a traditional publisher, with printed paperback books being available through the online
retailer Amazon.

Forgotten Books is giving free access to all eBooks in high-quality formats from their web
site. Every household may select fifty free eBooks - and if that's not enough, for a small
membership fee you can continue to download up to 500 per month - more than anyone can
read! This fee supports maintenance of 200 high-performance computers running our state-
of-the-art software for resurrection of aged books and our distribution servers. The libraries
of Schools, Universities and Educational Establishments will receive free membership with
