Surge in demand for green products and services

June 30, 2012 - PRLog -- After about 25 years that this market, consumers demand for green products the ability to bypass their supply worldwide. So a new study conducted among senior executives by accounting firm Accenture.


The survey of 250 senior executives from the UK, USA, Japan, Germany, France, China, Brazil and India. The Data show that despite green products and services still cost more than regular products, a third of businesses fail to meet demand from customers. Difficulty is expressed primarily in emerging markets , where 44% fail to meet the demand, compared with 37% among all respondents.

The survey further shows that business owners also believe they can charge more money on green products: 68% said they could raise them by 5% -20%, and 17% said they could even raise them by 20% -50% more.

Encouraging statistic comes from the survey, is that more and more businesses see the field environment is essential for future growth: 83% consider spending on green products and services as an investment, 44% believe that such investments are critical to their business, and 48% said it was "very important".

Regarding investments have already been assigned green issues, the figures show that 54% invested in new product development and green in their existing operations and 48% spent on marketing to target consumers.

Approximately 62% said these investments were due to customers' expectations Berry products - sustainable and green services, and the opportunity to drive the growth of the business.
