Stephanie Shalofsky Named NAPO-NY President

June 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Stephanie Shalofsky, New York Professional Organizer and founder of The Organizing Zone, has been elected president of NAPO-NY, a chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers serving the greater metropolitan area of New York.  Prior to being elected as President, Stephanie served 3 terms on the board as Marketing Director.  NAPO-NY is one of the oldest and largest NAPO chapters, chartered in 1987 and made up of more than 130 organizing consultants, trainers, authors and manufacturers of organizing products.

“I am extremely honored to have been elected President of NAPO-NY and look forward to working with my colleagues to implement our strategic goals which will result in an increased awareness of NAPO-NY in the metropolitan area among both new members of the profession and those seeking organizing services," commented Stephanie Shalofsky.

The mission of NAPO-NY is to develop, lead and promote professional organizers and the organizing industry. This is achieved through regular meetings where members and prospective members can take advantage of educational development opportunities as well as exchange ideas and information relevant to the industry.


About Stephanie Shalofsky
Stephanie Shalofsky founded The Organizing Zone in 2008. She specializes in working with small business owners and individuals to create organizing solutions which can be maintained and will improve their productivity. She works with clients to better utilize their space, eliminate their clutter, organize their papers and email, and manage their to-do lists.

Prior to founding her company, Stephanie spent over 20 years in the entertainment industry where she held various senior manager positions. Stephanie applies her prior experience along with her certification as a Productive Environment Specialist (CPES) to the work that she does with her clients.

Stephanie has been an active member of NAPO-NY since joining in 2007. She served as Advertising Sales Manager for the chapter’s newsletter and Public Relations Coordinator prior to being elected to the board.  She is also an active member of New York Women in Film & Television and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
