June 28, 2012 - PRLog -- It's raining cats and dogs (and children) this Fourth of July and the Camp Waterlogg gang are trapped indoors recalling a holiday of the past. Along the way, there is also a Daws Butler parody placing George and Martha Washington in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.

That's the premise for this Saturday's special edition of The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, Joe Bev and Lorie Kellogg's weekly radio theater show airing every Saturday 1 pm (ET) / 10 am (PT) on Internet radio station http://www.cultradioagogo.com (CRAGG).

The husband and wife team create a brand new hour of radio comedy every week, providing most of the character's voices, writing and improvising the story-lines and adding music and sound effects. This week's show also features Liquid Comedy's Cousin Kenny Savoy.

The Comedy-O-Rama Hour has been highest rated radio show on Cult Radio A-Go-Go! for many weeks. Joe Bev's other radio show, The Jazz-O-Rama Hour debuted last Saturday at number 2.

CRAGG creator-owners Terry & Tiffany Dufoe called Bev "the only host in CRAGG history to host two separate 60 minute shows at the same time!"

The show had a four year successful run on Sirius XM Radio. Since returning, Comedy-O-Rama has attracted such celebrity guests as Rick Overton, Stuart Pankin, Bob Camp, Phil Proctor, June Foray, Nancy Cartwright, Bob Greenberg, Julie Newmar, Judy Tentua. Upcoming guests include Denny Dillon, Elayne Boosler, Chuck McCann, and Janet Waldo.

Joe Bev attributes the positive response to his radio show as a sign today's audiences are craving radio theater.

"We are creating a fully realized storyline every week, with continuing characters, sound effects, music, full production values... plus we're funny!" says Bev, who performs nearly half the characters on the show, including Ellis the Boatkeeper, Sgt. Lefty, Adam Maxwell, Lil Orphan Andy, and others.

Lorie Kellogg performs many characters on the show including Elise, Olive Pitts, Mrs. Cowlick, Ellis & Elise's mother, Lkie, Mrs. Terwilliger and others.

For this week's show, Kellogg and Bev create a crowd of new camp kids voices.

Joe Bevilacqua is the winner of the 2012 New York TANYS Award for Excellence in Acting. He has performed at the Improv, Caroline's on Broadway, Catch a Rising Star, the Comic Strip, opened for Uncle Floyd, worked with Al Franken, Shelley Berman, Louis Black and Rick Overton. Joe has also MC'd shows featuring Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Mahr and Gilbert Gottfried. He has been regularly heard on National Public Radio and Sirius-XM Radio. Joe hosts and produces The Comedy-O-Rama Hour and The Jazz-O-Rama Hour on Cult Radio-Go-Go! as well as Cartoon Carnival and other radio programs and audiobooks.

Lorie Kellogg started her education at the Kansas City Art Institute. There she studied painting, printmaking, photography, commercial design and video. She continued to Graduate School at the California Institute of the Arts where she received her MFA in Film/Video.
Lorie is a graphic designer creating websites, logos, newsletters, newspaper & magazine layout, package design, ad design, and edits video & audio. On Comedy-O-Rama, Lorie voices Ranger Lorie, Olive Pitts, Lkie (Sqweeky), Mrs. Terwilliger,  and the other half of voices in the Pedro cartoons.

Part two of The Comedy-O-Rama Hour: "Fireworks at Camp Waterlogg Revisited" airs next Saturday July 7, 1 pm (ET) / 10 am (PT) at cultradioagogo.com.
