-- Herb Duane, Founder of the National Demolition Association (NDA) and President of Demolition Consulting Services, will publish his ‘Inside the Industry’ column exclusively at DEMOLITION.US. This is a bi-weekly column that includes demolition industry news, upcoming bids and project leads, as well as, bid results and commentary.
Herb has been writing about the Demolition Industry for over 45 years. His first writing appeared in a magazine that he started in 1967, ‘Wrecking and Salvage Journal’. He is also a seasoned veteran of the demolition industry. As the third generation of a family that started in the demolition business in 1919, Herb and his family have handled major demolition projects such as Boston Central Artery, Scolly Square Redevelopment, Federal Reserve Bank, West End Redevelopment, and Worcester Redevelopment Project. Over the past 82 years, they have also handled large redevelopment projects in cities like Lowell, New Bedford, Fall River, Brockton, etc. just to name a few.
