Zygote in my Fez Poetry Feztival to be held in Oakland

Poets from across the nation are traveling from New York, Ohio, Kentucky, North Dakota and many other states to join Bay Area poets in a five-hour long performance at the New Parish in Oakland.

June 27, 2012 - PRLog -- On Sunday, July 8th from 3-8pm, twenty-five authors will take the stage and perform their works live at The New Parish, 579 18th Street (at San Pablo), Oakland. The reading will also feature music by local Three Times Bad Band. Directly following the performance will be an after-party at the Awaken Cafe, where the performers will be on hand to meet the public and many will have books for sale.

The event is sponsored by Red Fez Publications and Zygote in my Coffee. It is free and open to the public. This is the second Zygote in my Fez (or Zyfez) poetry feztival. Last year's festival was held in Toledo, Ohio and another festival is being planned for Albuquerque, New Mexico in November 2012.
