Crespac Inc. announces opening of 100,000 square foot recycling facility

June 26, 2012 - PRLog -- June 24, 2012 – Tucker, GA - Crespac Inc., one of the largest thermoforming processors of post-consumer recycled plastics in the US, is pleased to announce the opening of a new recycling facility that will focus on cleaning and recycling plastic horticultural products as well as other post-consumer and post-industrial materials.  The 100,000 square foot facility is located in the Atlanta area and is convenient to Crespac’s extrusion and thermoforming facilities in Tucker, GA.

Crespac has invested heavily in a number of recycling process capabilities including grinding, shredding, sifting, batch-blending and washing to repurpose a number of common resins.  However, the focal point of Crespac’s recycling efforts will be on recovering the two most commonly recycled plastics in the world – PET (#1) and HDPE (#2).

Crespac’s head of manufacturing, Maurice Moon, projects throughput of over 6 million lbs of materials in 2012 with the capacity going over 10 million lbs next year as the horticultural container exchange program is expanded to a greater number of customers around the southeastern US.
