EACS Among Top Finalists for Global Microsoft Award

June 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Cambridgeshire, UK - June 26, 2012- Today, EACS announced it has been selected as a finalist for the Microsoft Citizenship Opportunities for Youth Partner of the Year Award.

Mike Dearlove, Managing Director at EACS said: "It is a great achievement to have been recognised by Microsoft in these global awards and to be one of only three finalists in this category. We support young people by taking part in apprenticeship schemes, which allow our employees to share their knowledge and expertise. We also encourage everyone in the company to get involved with sponsoring and raising money for charities that provide assistance to children. Recently this has included sponsoring the opening of a new children’s hospice, plus staff taking part in fundraising events such as spending a night sleeping outside exposed to the elements."

Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of nearly 3,000 entrants worldwide. The Opportunities for Youth-Citizenship Partner of the Year award recognises a partner that created a unique technology offering, or supported a strong employee engagement program, in order to serve the needs of youth (ages 6 to 24). The winning partner engaged its employees to lend time and expertise in support of a non-profit focused on youth causes. The winning solution or program was deployed within the past year.
