DJ Money of 93.9 WKYS Hosts Black Music Month Edition of the DJs After Party Scholarship Mixer 6/27

June 25, 2012 - PRLog -- (Bowie, Maryland) -- The DJ’s After Party benefit mixer continues Wednesday, June 27 with a special Black Music Month Edition, from 10 pm to 2 am, hosted by DJ Money of 93.9 WKYS FM. The DJs After Party is a series of late-night industry mixers, hosted by influential DJs, at Afterhours Recording Studio located at 14503 Dolbrook Lane in Bowie, MD. The event series raises scholarship funds for youth to attend the Ascend Music and Media Academy digital arts summer camp July 30-August 3. This week will include special performances and appearances by Actor/Author/Recording Artist Tray Chaney from “The Wire”; DeAngelo Redman of MTV’s Making the Band Season 4; Apollo Champion Reesa Renee; Hip-Hop Artist Awthentik; Hip-Hop Poet Bomani “Not a Rapper” Armah and more.

DJ Money has selected a track that artists in attendance will write and perform verses to for a chance to be on his track for the DJs After Party compilation mix tape.  In addition, fashion designer Deborah Mdurvwa will showcase her celebrity accessories line the Mdurvwa Collection and will donate 20 percent of sales proceeds to the Ascend Academy.

The DJs After Party is a fun, laid-back mixer in an intimate setting. Please join the community of DJs, artists and industry insiders for this unique event on June 27.
