Bekins A-1 Movers, Inc. opens Jacksonville, Fla location to help serve the U.S. military
Bekins A-1 Movers, Inc. has opened a new location in Jacksonville, Florida to serve the needs of the U.S. Military’s Joint Personal Property Shipping Office.
This new location will allow Bekins A-1 to serve the needs of the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office (JPPSO) in Jacksonville. The JPPSO provides shipment and storage of personal property for military and civilian members of the armed forces.
Bekins A-1’s Jacksonville opening coincides with the JPPSO’s regionalization plan. As part of this plan, the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center in Jacksonville will manage the JPPSO Southeast — a regional hub for operations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and the Caribbean.
In February 2012, Wheaton Van Lines, Inc. acquired Bekins Van Lines, Inc. in a strategic move designed to bolster both brands. This partnership is providing Bekins A-1 with increased operational capacity and resources for strategic growth. Bekins A-1 Movers, Inc./Bekins Moving Services will now be the largest single-owner agency within the Wheaton-Bekins Family.
Bekins A-1 offers a wide range of moving and storage services including local, long distance and international moving, containerized transportation, employee relocation services, storage and warehousing, and a host of commercial moving services.
Bekins A-1’s revolutionary website, MyBekins.com, is the first site in the relocation industry built for complete accurate moving estimates, scheduling live appointments, even booking a move, all online.
