BRAVO MEDIA'S "MISS ADVISED"
Dating experts become the guinea pigs on Bravo’s newest show, Miss Advised the show that follows the dating habits of three relationship industry professionals: NYC-based matchmaker Amy Laurent, San Francisco-located radio talk show host Emily Morse, and Los Angeles-based dating columnist Julia Allison. All three are single—and can’t seem to practice what they preach as they struggle to stay afloat in the dating pool. Bravo Media premiered “Miss Advised,” a docu-series about three single relationship experts who make a living dispensing dating advice, but struggle to make their own love connections, last Monday, and runs every Monday at 10pm ET/PT. Partnering with RelativityREAL and Ashley Tisdale’s Blondie Girl Productions, the series follows Julia Allison in Los Angeles, Amy Laurent in New York City and Emily Morse in San Francisco, as they maneuver through the dating world disregarding their own advice. In the premiere episode, dating columnist Julia Allison makes a big move to Los Angeles on a quest to find Mr. Right. With a 73-point checklist to guide her, Julia is ready to settle into the storybook romance of her dreams. Matchmaking maven Amy Laurent has built an empire in New York City by bringing perfect matches together all thanks to “The Rules.” But when an old flame comes back to town, she struggles to follow her own guidelines. Radio host and sex expert Emily Morse is on a life mission to help people have better sex. She proclaims that monogamy is an epidemic, but when her happily-married brother comes to visit, Emily admits that she would be open to falling in love. For more information, visit Miss Advised

NEW BOOK! THIS SEPTEMBER: "8 WEEKS TO EVERLASTING: A STEP-BY STEP GUIDE TO GETTING (AND KEEPING!) THE GUY YOU WANT" (Griffin/ Paperback Originals)
Frustrated by a string of failed dates? Flummoxed as to why he never called? Sick of attending other people's weddings . . . alone? Professional matchmaker Amy Laurent and star of Bravo’s upcoming show Miss Advised has news for you. You have the power to change your dating life and your relationship future. Amy has been featured in The New York Times, Miami Herald, Oprah Magazine, Men's Health, and Cosmopolitan. She is also a relationship columnist for In Touch Weekly, The Huffington Post, and IVillage. Miss Advised is a cutting edge and exciting show that follows three single women be in the relationship-advice giving industry. Can they practice what they preach? How perfect are the lives of the professionals who help so many with solving their problems? The show focuses on how Amy tries to balance an intense career and long hours helping others find true love, while also giving an inside peek at her personal life and what it is like for her as a single 30-something living in the Big Apple. In 8 Weeks To Everlasting: A Step-By-Step Guide To Getting (And Keeping!) The Guy You Want (Griffin/ Paperback Original/ September/ $15.99/ISBN 1-250-02063-X), Amy Laurent shows readers how to navigate the first critical eight weeks of the dating relationship. Whether you are in a positive relationship heading toward a bright and shiny future or whether you end up dumped and depressed or—worse—stuck with someone you shouldn't have been with in the first place, it's all up to you. Happiness is your choice and within your grasp. Amy Laurent shows you how to get it. Laurent wants women to know that they are in charge. We set one and, ultimate, we determine what kind of relationship we’re going to be in. With candor and respect, Amy shows women how to:
Stay out of the texting trap: If you start as a text girl, you will always be a text girl. He will not call you to say how wonderful you are, and what a great time he had… he will text you.
Create physical boundaries: After the first date engage in a modest kiss without swapping tongues instead of having a one night stand. Remember: Once you start having sex, you can’t take it back
Establish an exclusive relationship: Hints, ultimatums, and threats won’t get you anywhere. Stay calm, and keep dating other people until the exclusivity conversation takes place. And remember: you have the power to guide the direction of your relationship.
Build the foundation for a lasting relationship: A relationship is not like an open wound, you don’t need to apply pressure. Don’t start thinking about wedding bells so quickly after you have established an exclusive relationship but rather start building a partnership
…And she offers many more tips
8 Weeks To Everlasting is not about getting the guy. It’s about getting the guy you want and not wasting time on the ones who aren’t right for you. It’s a heartening, upbeat, and step-by-step guide for the woman who hasn't yet landed the right man, and the one who needs to hit the reset button to get her relationship back on track.
