Over 9,000sqm of School Flat Roofs Refurbished in Dumfries

June 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Dumfries & Galloway Council have worked with Polyroof on a number of refurbishment projects over the last decade. Valuing the locality of approved contractors as well as the site surveys, specifications and on-site QC control provided by Polyroof, the council chose Polyroof to provide a solution for the leaking school roofs at Maxwell Town and StNinian’s Schools in Dumfriesshire.

The roofs had reached the end of their serviceable lifespan and leaking was causing disruption.

The Protec Warm Roof system provided the ideal solution. As no stripping was required, the insulation boards were cold-bonded directly over the existing roofs, allowing the schools to carry on as normal whilst the works were taking place. The BBA-approved Protec system was then applied directly to the insulation boards to create a seamless and durable waterproofing membrane that was fully guaranteed for 20 years.

The Protec system provided a long-lasting solution to the leaking.
