All three books have a Chicago orientation. Nordhaus-Bike’ "Follow the Sun" Written by award-winning astrology author Anne M. Nordhaus-Bike, "Follow the Sun" offers a timeless, annual guide to using astrology for living in harmony with yourself, others, and nature. "Follow the Sun" reviews each astrological sign, shares ideas for making the most of that sign’s energies and opportunities, and shows how a public figure born under that Sun sign expressed its energies. This full color book is enhanced with numerous images, including reproductions of all 12 original watercolors the author—a professional artist who has exhibited her work widely—created to symbolize the signs of the zodiac. Every chapter of "Follow the Sun" also offers suggestions for balancing your life. “Besides giving you simple yet powerful tools to work more effectively with the energy of a particular Sun sign, these suggestions will help you align yourself with the seasons and nature’s cycles,” Nordhaus-Bike said. “Over time, you will feel your life take on a more cyclical rhythm that will support your health and happiness on all levels.” "Deadly Choices" and "Window of Guilt" "Deadly Choices" is an award-winning thriller that offers a rare glimpse of the gritty street life of a female Chicago paramedic. The heroine, Beth, tries to do her job while saddled with a cocaine-addicted ambulance partner and a sexist supervisor. The book offers many surprising twists and turns. Accused of kidnapping a baby and leaving the mother for dead, Beth goes on trial. The novel ends with a gripping courtroom drama. “This story forces us to consider how the choices we make will change our lives forever,” said Spallone. In "Window of Guilt," when Chicago real estate agent Laurie Atkins finds a dead body on the lawn of her summer house, she rushes inside to phone the police. When she returns, the body has disappeared. The police chalk it up to a prank phone call, and Laurie's husband says she's hallucinating. "Window of Guilt," another trademark psychological suspense thriller from author Jennie Spallone, mixes health insurance fraud and marital dysfunction with a case of mistaken identity. “In my suspense novels, I like to explore challenges that confront the individual, as well as society,” Spallone said.
