Follow on Google News | Old Computers Or Scrap Items Can Help Fund Children’s ProgramsCharities welcome new funding source. Outdated or broken technology items and scrap taking up space in your garage or basement will fund children services when properly recycled.
On July 21st and 22nd the Charlestowne Plaza Shopping Center will host a community recycling event. The Charlestowne Plaza is located on the southwest corner of Jung Station Road and Highway 94 in St Peters, Missouri. The hours of collection are 10 am to 4 pm Saturday and 11 am to 4pm Sunday. Some of the items for free collection include: computers, laptops, netbooks, cell phones, printers, faxes, CD/DVD/ drives, hard drives (data destroyed to DOD standards), scanners, copiers, network gear, telephone equipment, cables/wire/ Fluids, hazardous materials and lead acid batteries are excluded for safety reasons. Also items such as refrigerators and air conditioners must be excluded because of the coolants contained within. Cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors and televisions are subject to a disposal fee. End
