E-Poll Market Research Releases First Quarter Report on Celebrity Marketing
(June 26, 2012) E-Poll Market Research, a leading provider of celebrity and brand research, has released its report on the state of the celebrity market for the twelve months ending March 31, 2012. Based on E-Poll’s E-Score Celebrity research service, the report summarizes American attitudes towards more than 6,500 different celebrities across the fields of entertainment, sports, politics and business. Among the findings:
Biggest Gainers: Leading the way among celebrity gainers is Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, with a 12-point gain in Appeal during the period. Castle’s Nathan Fillion took second place with an 8 point increase, while The Big Bang Theory’s Simon Helberg and Johnny Galecki both made the top ten.
Most Appealing Debut Celebrity: Among celebrities surveyed for the first time during the period, country music singer Eric Church topped the list of most appealing. Quarterback Andrew Luck came in at number two, while The X-Factor winner Melanie Amaro placed third.
Reality Stars We Love to Hate: When it comes to Reality TV, successful reality stars are not always loved by the people who watch the show. The Kardashian family and The Jersey Shore cast each placed three members on our list of Reality Stars We Love to Hate. Snooki took the “top” spot, with 54% of those surveyed expressing Dislike for her.
