National law firm launches new commercial identity - SM Commercial SolicitorsSimpson Millar LLP has launched a new corporate identity for its commercial team as it continues to support SMEs and owner managed-businesses through challenging times. The brand will be known as SM Commercial Solicitors.
Under the name SM Commercial Solicitors the firm, which now has 10 offices across England and Wales, will focus on expanding its commercial property and corporate offering to Yorkshire’s entrepreneurs and SMEs. Deborah Powell who joined from Eversheds in 2009 is now head of SM Commercial. She said: “We offer entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs the reassurance of having a highly qualified and experienced solicitor on the team without the heavy price tag. It is a proposition that sits very well with our clients here in Yorkshire and one which SM Commercial Solicitors will remain loyal to.” Earlier this year ex-DLA and Eversheds lawyer Stephen Griffiths joined the firm to lead its corporate team – the first of several commercial appointments planned for 2012. Deborah said: "A number of people who have lost their jobs in the economic downturn are now launching their own businesses and they need all the help they can get. From securing the best possible premises through to recruiting new staff and establishing relationships with suppliers, we are there to provide good value commercial legal advice." The SM Commercial brand has been six months in the making and will represent quality, service and value for money. Deborah concluded: "In developing SM Commercial Solicitors we took the time to speak to our clients and determine what really mattered to them. The response from across the board was that local businesses wanted a personable and reasonably priced service from a knowledgeable but straight-talking solicitor who was willing to invest in getting to know their business. That is exactly what we are offering." Photo: https://www.prlog.org/ End
