-- The purpose of the conference was to discuss the latest development taking place in the area of Computer Science & Information Technology. The conference was attended by nearly 150 persons from Academia, Industry and Research scholars. The Chief-Guest of the conference was Dr. S.K. Gupta, a Professor with Computer Science Department of IIT, Delhi.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. S.K. Gupta, Dr. C.K. Nagpal (Principal Echelon Institute), Dr. S.P.S. Saini (Former Scientist with CEERI Pilani/CSIR)
, Prof. Md. Khalid (HOD-CSE) & Prof. D.K. Chugh.
During his address, Dr. C.K. Nagpal conveyed to the house that such conferences provide a platform for the meeting of the people and discuss the latest development in the area of technology. The technology is changing at very fast pace, making the life easier for the common man and difficult for upcoming engineers. He said that the current technological avalanche can be caught by the engineers only through sharing of knowledge.
Dr. S.K. Gupta enlightened the house with his talk on Next Generation Data Mining. He said that after the not taking of expert system technology the Data Mining Techniques have taken over and now we are in a position to know where these techniques are proving fruitful and where not. This insight has shown us a path to the next generation data mining.
Dr. S.P.S. Saini enlightened the house with his talk on Embedded Systems.
The conference was graced by the presentation of several research papers in the area of MANETs, Web Mining, Web. Technology, Soft Computing etc. Prof. Md. Khalid conveyed to the house that Institute feels its moral responsibility to let its students & faculty to know about latest technology and this conference is an effort in this direction.
The senior faculty of the Institute Prof. A.K. Upadhyay, Dr. Alka Nigam, Prof. D.K. Chugh & Prof. Rajinder Kumar also addressed the house with their motivational talks. The conference concluded with a valedictory function and vote of thanks by Mrs. Seema Verma.
