June 28, 2012 - PRLog -- “ God will give us the fortitude to overcome all of life’s obstacles.  He will guide us through the valley, lead us to the mountaintop and transition us into our greatness.”                                                                                                                                                                         Ethel Carolyn Talley

After running away at thirteen her life begins to spiral downward.  She attempts suicide at age 15. At the age of 16, she starts promiscuous behavior that result in a teen pregnancy. Ethel emancipates from the DC Foster Care System, homeless with her young son. Her first job is $4.50 an hour at Potomac Job Corps.  Her first apartment is in a crime ridden area in SE.  This is Ethel’s journey through life’s triumphal times and celebrations of life.  Expecting to enjoy the fruits of her labor, early retirement, and an empty nest she finds herself…

Not just another foster care story…there is something for our youth; single parents; fathers; mothers; employers; government employees; mental health staff; teachers; police officers; men and women.

Ethel is the President/CEO of Writing Your Own Life’s Script, LLC (2010) a new Youth Program Management Consultant Company that is currently” being built”. She graduated from Strayer University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (2004), with a minor in Human Resource Management, and a Masters in Public Administration (2008). Ethel worked for the District of Columbia Government for over twenty years before being laid off in 2009; in which she began volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children with CASA for a year. Ethel is a member of Foster Care Alumni of America. Ethel supports the freedom of Sex Trafficking victim Sara Kruzan.

The 437 page book is now available on amazon.com and on Kindle. Books will be available soon for $29.95 plus shipping on barnesandnoble.com (Nook).
