June 21, 2012 - PRLog -- PA—SafetyCare Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator and manufacturer of Personal
Emergency Response Systems (PERS) and Nurse Call Systems, presents the SafetyCare Response Center (SRC), supported by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). In an emergency when response time is critical, an individual speaks directly to an EMT, not an operator.

Fully redundant and compliant with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) requirements, the SRC is capable of monitoring two-way voice alarms. The two-way voice services ensure accurate and efficient dispatches for each individual emergency scenario. In addition to providing 24-hour personal protection for individuals in their homes, SafetyCare manages emergency signals from wireless emergency call systems installed at assisted and independent living facilities across the United States.

“At SafetyCare, we are committed to an individual’s wellbeing and safety. Our SafetyCare Response Center is a testament to that commitment. We want to ensure that emergency scenarios are handled effectively, so individuals can be secure in their homes,” explains Chuck Gulati, president of SafetyCare Technologies.

The SRC is fully staffed with EMTs, who have a minimum of 100 training hours. SafeyCare’s EMTs are trained in multiple areas, including cardiac and respiratory emergencies, human anatomy, blood stoppage, trauma management and patient assessment.

Prior to hospital transport, the EMTs communicate with the individual to access the situation, provide immediate assistance and while supplying vital medical history to the paramedics in route. “SafetyCare EMTs have been trained to handle every type of emergency. Working alongside law enforcement and firefighters, our EMTs know the importance of making quick, effective decisions, all while putting the individual first,” explains Drew Bell, SafetyCare’s general manager. Upon completion of an alarm response, family and caregivers are notified of the incident and the post-alarm status of the individual.

This additional monitoring feature also includes internet alarm and connectivity monitoring, receiving alarm signals from voice over internet protocol (VOIP), monitoring text message alarms signals and GPS monitoring.

With 24/7 technical support, web access to accounts, daily, weekly and monthly activity logs and emergency contact information sent by a phone call, text or email, families and caregivers can be more confident that their family members are protected.

Ultimately, SafetyCare’s SRC is transforming the PERS industry, establishing a communication plan to protect individuals and their health. “We are proud of this innovative concept – the SRC staffed with certified EMTs,” says Gulati. “It’s truly transformational, and we’re excited as SafeyCare’s products continue to showcase this lifesaving network.”
