NVE Bank Grants $1,000 Scholarships to 10 Local High School Students

Englewood, NJ, June 20, 2012- NVE Bank awarded ten area high school seniors with $1,000 scholarships at a reception hosted by the bank at its Englewood headquarters on June 19th.    The scholarships are part of a program that has been offered by the Bank for the past five years, and also extends to area middle schools, where five graduating 8th grade students were selected to receive a $500 Savings Product Scholarship.   NVE President Robert Rey presented the students with their scholarships at the reception, which was attended by NVE executives, members of the bank’s board of directors, school officials and student family members.  

“As a Mutual Bank, our focus is always on putting our customers and communities first” said Mr. Rey.   “Reinvesting our financial and personal resources to make a difference in the towns we serve is the simply the right thing to do and our scholarship program is emblematic of that mission”, he continued.  “All of us at NVE salute our 2012 recipients and wish them well as they pursue their educational goals”.

NVE Bank’s high school scholarship recipients included; Steve Lee – Leonia High School, Deborah Chung – Cresskill High School, Skyler Davenport – Pascack Valley High School, Petros Lilikas – Northern Valley Regional High School, Ivy Busby – Academies at Englewood, Kayla Williams – Dwight Morrow High School, Milagros Incle – Bergenfield High School, April Campanelli – New Milford High School, Emily Fisher – Teaneck High School and
Mariel Mayz – Tenafly High School.
