-- ALPINE, Texas, June 20, 2012–McCoy’
s Building Supply is proud to announce the appointment of Robert Murphy as store manager of its location at 2700 E. Highway 90.
Murphy started his career with McCoy’s as a trainee at the Fort Stockton location in 2006. When the Alpine location opened in 2007, he was chosen as yard leader and eventually earned the position of assistant manager. As a longtime resident of Alpine, Murphy is excited to take on this leadership role.
“I look forward to becoming even more involved in the Alpine community,” Murphy says. “My family and I have proudly called Alpine home for the last 12 years and I am grateful for the opportunity to positively influence our community.”
When asked about future plans for the store Murphy says the focus is simple. “I want McCoy’s to be the place to shop for building materials in Alpine,” he explains. “We are committed to having an extensive product selection, knowledgeable staff and a safe environment.”
He goes on to add that people can expect a superior shopping experience when they visit his store. “I’m proud of our team in Alpine,” says Murphy. “When customers shop with us, they can feel confident they’ll receive outstanding service. As an assistant manager, I had the opportunity to get to know our customers and my goal is to continue building those relationships, while providing the best value possible.”
Murphy plans to continue the growth and stability that previous Store Manager Michael Trant worked hard to establish. Regional Manager Kevin McKeown expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to work with a well-respected team member familiar with Alpine and its customer base.
“I am excited about Robert’s broad spectrum of experience within the McCoy community,” McKeown says. "He has the perfect balance of product knowledge and experience. With his talents and team support, the decision to transition him from assistant manager to manager was easy.”
