-- The harsh economic climate makes it increasingly harder for small and medium sized businesses to access high levels of financial expertise, but with Chris Judson's new business, SME owners in the East Midlands can now utilise high levels of financial management expertise on a cost effective basis. In many instances, bringing on board high levels of management and strategic skills full time would be prohibitively expensive for SMEs coupled with issues of uncertainty. In the current recessionary climate especially, this could be more of an even bigger problem for companies.
In a bid to manage costs, many SMEs avoid hiring staff at this level, compromise on standards and expectations and become more susceptible to business failure. They could face the risk of delaying decisions, missing deadlines or misinterpreting financial data, hence they may make wrong organisational choices or incur huge fines which could seriously damage the business.
This pay-as-you use model now makes it possible to get the best of both worlds- Valuable financial performance information and advice only when the business needs it, making it cost-effective for growing businesses and an incentive to maintain a good financial management discipline.
Chris’ financial management business, which operates under the e-financial management network with several locations across the country, provides a wide range of expert financial management solutions on a flexible and scalable basis, with particular focus on SMEs. As well as running any aspect of the finance function on either an insourced or outsourced basis, the company’s services include the provision of online accounting, project and finance support, board level support, and other financial management based ancillary services using an extensive network. This new location brings e-FM’s network to 20 in the UK.
Chris, a Chartered Accountant, has built a successful career working with SMEs over the years. With extensive experience and expertise in the property sector, he has also applied his transferable skills to a range of strategic functions including risk management, treasury management and financial modeling. Chris has 14 years experience working at Finance Director level and was responsible for delivering a strategic vision to board, as well as the management of key financial performance information. Chris also has extensive experience of general management, financial restructuring, complex financial modeling as well as systems implementation.
By operating from Nottingham, Chris can now offer e-FM’s pay-as-you use service to business markets in the East Midlands. Gary Jesson, MD of the e-FM Network, said: “'I'm delighted to welcome Chris to the Network. He has a unique set of skills and experience that will be complementary to our team’s existing capabilities. He brings a wealth of both finance and strategic experience and expertise and will be a great asset to clients”. 'I am absolutely delighted to be joining the e-FM Network at this stage in its development and growth plan” says Chris. It is a brilliant business with great potential and it has an ideal offering for SME’s in the current economic climate.'
