June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- On the brink of releasing her new single “Look Like Money”,  raptress Lil Kim sat down with Phoenix New Time’s in an exclusive interview. Kim stated that her new album is in the works and she plans to shock her fans. “A lot of people ask me, ‘aye Kim, when that album dropping’.  And honestly, I could rush it to you or I can nurture it. I make classics; I’m not interested in just releasing forgettable music.”

When pressed on who is making forgettable music, Kim is coy, “A lot of people are making forgettable music. But hey, that’s them.”

Lil Kim refuses to talk about long time rival, pop sensation Nicki Minaj but Kimberly Jones has no issue with discussing Drake. When asked her opinion on the Drake and Chris Brown brawl in New York, the Brooklyn native holds nothing back.

“I mean, people are so hard on Chris (Brown). He made a mistake, he owned up to it, and he and Rihanna have moved on with their lives. But since that incident it’s so easy to blame Chris. What I know about Drake is he is bitch-made. Meaning he’s an instigator, and a pussy. He had no issue stepping to Lil Kim, I’m like five feet tall. But he didn’t try stepping to Chris, a man, because he’s simply a coward. At the end of the day, you don’t gotta be a tough guy to be a rapper, but don’t dress up in Gangsta Drag when you a bitch. Drake’s a bottom – y’all know what I mean when I say that.”

Lil Kim’s rivalry with Minaj is well documented and Kim is often accused of not being able to pass the torch to the younger crowd, but Kim denies this. “There are so many dope MC's right now; I’m really feeling Big Sean, J. Cole sounds like the second coming of Hova (Jay-z).As far  as females go, I really like Iggy (Azalea), she has a distinct flow and already has a mystique. That’s not something you can just create, it’s something that’s just innate. “

“Look  Like Money” is set to drop June 22, 2012. Read the entire article in the August issue of Phoenix New Times
