Chelsea Gregory, Miss South Carolina United States 2012 to Appear at NC Music Factory

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Chelsea Gregory, the reigning Miss South Carolina United States 2012 will appear at the Saloon in the North Carolina Music Factory on Thursday night, June 21st.  The doors will open at 6:30 for a benefit concert by the music group, Simplified.  All proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to benefit The Sandbox Organization.

The Sandbox is Chelsea's charity and platform for her title as Miss South Carolina United States.  The organization benefits and helps patients of childhood life altering illness and their families.  They cover everything from getting a family in need a new washer to cooking and delivering Thanksgiving dinner which Ms. Gregory was a part of last year.

The most exciting thing that The Sandbox does for these families, is host a very elaborate prom in September so that those patients who had to miss their own school proms due to illness and treatment can have a special night.  

Ms Gregory has been instrumental in collecting over 300 gowns for the event through her connections with the Fairy Godmother Project of Music City,  Cinderella Dreams of Midlothian, VA and Pretty and Primped in Greensboro, NC.  She continues to help The Sandbox by bringing attention to their fund raising efforts in order to pay for many of the prom expenses.

Chelsea was named as a Goodwill Ambassador last year by The Sandbox when she held the title of Miss South Carolina International 2011.  

Chelsea will be traveling on July 3rd to Washington, DC for the National Miss United States Pageant.
