A 2 Chord Piano Lesson? 'New Age' Approach Shows Students How to Improvise

Think it takes a lot to play piano? Not according to pianist and online teacher Edward Weiss!

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The piano has always been looked at as a difficult instrument to play. But pianist and online teacher Edward Weiss has developed a ‘new age’ approach he says can have anyone creating modern sounds almost right away.

In fact he does just that in the free lesson he gives away at his site called ‘November Sunrise.’ When asked about his free lesson, Weiss comments…

“November Sunrise’ is a video where I show students how to easily improvise using just two chords from the Key of C Major. I use a special chord type that uses both hands immediately to create a nice modern sound. With these materials, a student can sit down at the piano and improvise and play what they feel.”

To say that the ‘new age’ piano style is not the usual course of instruction would be an understatement. In fact, Weiss may be the only one in the world offering this kind of instruction.

Weiss elaborates…

“The style of piano I teach allows a complete beginner to quickly play what they feel using chords. Why more don’t teach like this, I don’t know. But once I figured out how to do it on my own, I knew I wanted to share it with the rest of the world.”
