Bar-i Spike in Website Traffic ‘No Fluke’
In the month of May 2012 Colorado based liquor inventory company Bar-i Intelligent Inventory (www.bar-i.com) reported a traffic increase of 37% to their website and according to co-owner and software programmer Jamie Edwards “This was no fluke”.
Understanding the power of social media marketing and the incredible reach of the of the internet, the Colorado firm have focused quite a bit of time, attention, and money to the enhancement of their website and their social media presence. “I believe that our liquor inventory system is second to none and we are finding from our customers that they do not disagree. Now that we have created an effective liquor inventory system we feel our website should be just as effective” says Edwards. This shift in focus has been extremely evident in the past couple of months with the addition of a Q&A forum and increasing the number of informative posts. “The forum is meant nykl to serve as a place where bar managers and owners can post any questions that they may have regarding bar inventory or general bar concerns”. Edwards went on to explain he realizes the value of information which has the ability to aid potential customers. “We know bar owners and managers that have questions will stumble upon our website and hopefully will recognize our depth of knowledge. From here, by providing quality content, it is more likely that we instill trust into potential customers which makes it far more likely that they will convert into clients in the future”.
Although the firm has increased their focus on internet marketing, Bar-i Co-owner and founder Scott Douthitt is quick to remind that their success is derived from their focus on customer service and the effectiveness of their service. “When I started Bar-i, I began with the intention of providing bar owners and managers with a system that provided them oversight and actionable information about their bar inventory”. Douthitt, himself a former bar manager at well known Vail bar the Red Lion, set out to create a comprehensive bar inventory system that would allow bar owners to make decisions based on in-depth information. With the help of Edwards, the two created a sophisticated computer program that makes the inventory process far less painful. “I know as well as any that doing inventory is tedious and time consuming so anything that helps relieve that pain is typically welcomed”.
