-- Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has continued its commitment to being a leading supporter of innovation and entrepreneurship in the North Bay, renewing its support of the North Bay Innovation Hub (iHub) at $25,000.
“The support of Pacific Gas & Electric is critical to our ability to maintain and expand our programs,” says Dr. Michael Newell, Executive Director of the North Bay iHub, “We have had tremendous success in this past year, with our Business Essentials seminars, the North Bay Investor Summit, the North Bay Innovation Showcase, and other programs – all supported directly by funding from PG&E.”
The mission of the North Bay iHub is to develop a network of partnerships spanning public and private organizations in support of job creation through innovation. Corporate sponsors are a key component in that mix, says iHub Business Development Manager Ivo Austin: “When it comes to events and programs, we are always trying to get more groups involved, whether it be in production, promotion, or funding. The financial support we receive from PG&E and other sponsors is one of the legs of that stool. By making this contribution, PG&E is not supporting just one organization, but the efforts of all iHub partners.”
Kelli Nevin, PG&E Local Government Relations representative for Sonoma and Marin counties, continues on the Board of Directors of the North Bay iHub/SMBC.
