Research Shows House Buyers Aim High

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The survey found that 37% of prospective home owners were setting their sights on a detached home highlighting that aspiration amongst first time buyers is as high now as it was in the 1970’s.

And, as Steve McElroy sales director with leading house builder Miller Homes commented, it is not entirely surprising. “In the Yorkshire region we can certainly identify with this as our experienced sales advisers explain it’s not only our apartments that attract first time house buyers but our three bedroom townhouses too.”

It seems that aiming high is not just a trait associated with first time buyers. The percentage of those moving up the property ladder and looking to purchase a property with four of five bedroom homes has also risen from 19% to 22% during the period 1998 – 2008.
