Chapman Partnership receives coveted 4-star rating from Charity Navigator

June 18, 2012 - PRLog -- MIAMI, Fla. – Chapman Partnership was awarded its second consecutive Charity Navigator 4-star rating, the highest ranking bestowed to a nonprofit organization for exceeding industry standards and outperforming other charities in America.

As the recipient of a four-star rating out of four, Chapman Partnership is acknowledged for sound fiscal management, transparency and accountability. Only 16 percent of charities evaluated by the rating service receive at least two consecutive 4-star designations.

“This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Chapman Partnership from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust,” said H. Daniel Vincent, executive director of Chapman Partnership.

“This is a statement to our commitment to making sure valuable dollars are spent on those who need it most at this time in their lives – the homeless,” he said.

Chapman Partnership, formerly Community Partnership for Homeless, spends 84 percent of its income on programs for the homeless. Administrative and fundraising expenses account for only 16 percent of its income.

Charity Navigator’s evaluation of a charity’s financial health – which examines daily management of finances and the ability to sustain programs over time – help millions of donors make better giving decisions. By logging onto www.charitynavigator.org, donors can determine which charities have “best practices” that minimize the chance of unethical activities and whether they freely share basic information about their organization to stakeholders, along with the traditional Charity Navigator matrices.
